Over at nonesuch.com it's been announced that Emmylou Harris' 1995 album "Wrecking Ball" will be remastered, and re-released in April of this year. The package will be a three disc set, with a second CD of outtakes from the sessions, and a DVD titled "Building the Wrecking Ball" which will feature "interviews and studio footage of Harris and Lanois as well as special guests Kate and Anna McGarrigle, Neil Young, Steve Earle, Brian Blade, and others."
It's now available to pre-order at nonesuch.com - and preorders come with a signed print.
"Wrecking Ball" is one of my favorite U2 side projects. Larry Mullen contributed to a number of tracks on the album, and Danny Lanois produced and plays on the whole album. I'm happy to see it getting a digital look and i'm patiently waiting to see what the second disc of audio tracks brings. Maybe it will have some additional Mullen work?
