Hi All --
In 1991 Island in Austria made a series of CD singles including "Fire", "New Year's Day", "Sunday Bloody Sunday", "Pride", "The Unforgettable Fire" as well as singles for "The Joshua Tree".
I was wondering if you could help me out if you have one of these pressings. Let me know the following:
Name of single, the matrix number under the cd (thats the number around the center, usually it's the catalog number and a two digit number afterwards if pressed in Austria), whether or not the CD label has the blue island logo, and whether or not the BMG logo is on the back flap of the CD.
So here's a few of mine.
New Year' Day - 665973 11 - no blue Island - BMG Logo present
New Year's Day - 665973 11 - blue Island logo present on CD - no BMG logo on back flap
New Year's Day - 665973 11 - blue Island logo present on CD - has BMG logo on back flap.
If you run across a "SONOPRESS" matrix (most likely just "Sunday Bloody Sunday") please list that as well.
Just interested in trying to figure out what's out there and capture it properly for the new discography. Only interested in the early singles, in slimline jewel cases pressed in Austria for the Austrian or German market...
Thanks.
Aaron
