miserere by bono and zucchero clarification
« on: October 21, 2008, 03:15:46 PM »
hi, I noticed that the discography lists the english version of miserere as 4 version:

1. Studio Version (4:49) - Zucchero (Co-Written by Bono)
Miserere Album - Zucchero

2. Edit (4:12) - Zucchero (Co-Written by Bono)
Miserere Single - Zucchero

3. Overture (0:37) - Zucchero (Co-Written by Bono)
Miserere Album - Zucchero

4. Live, Modena, September 27, 1992 - Zucchero and Pavarotti (Co-Written by Bono)
Pavarotti and Friends Volume 1 - Pavarotti

the overture (that is instrumental) is by zucchero only and the live from pavarotti and friends too since he sings in italian.

the difference between the album and the sigle version is the final bit recited by franco liguori that is on the album at the end of the song (4.12 like on the single), that start after a little pause and that says:

"a volte la migliore musica è il silenzio, diciamo...
a volte la migliore musica è il silenzio, diciamo...
a volte la migliore musica è il s..."

I try to translate it:
"sometimes the best music is the silence, let we say...
sometimes the best music is the silence, let we say...
sometimes the best music is the s..."
 ;)
