Mystery Solved? Cut to the Chase "Cool American"
« on: March 28, 2015, 08:39:48 AM »
Finally after many years of looking and digging about this release I finally have an answer. Bono has been reported as being on this release for years. He was listed as being on drums on this song.

Turns out? Wrong Bono!

Glen "Bono" Saunders is credited as drums on another project with Mark Manley...who was the guy behind the Cut to the Chase project.

I'm pretty sure that's enough to put this one to bed. I've never added it here because I could never confirm it. I will take care of the mention of it in U2Faqs. (Which dates to before my time working on it)

God, Part II

I guess I wasted my money, too, but not much.

Could have been worse - that damn Godzilla single that Edge wasn't a part of cost me a pretty penny. Oh well. At least we can cross this one off. Does anyone else have a list of things they were rumoured to be a part of and then weren't? We should include a page in the new site...

Who becomes a musician and then presumes to give himself the nickname "Bono"? Shame on you Glen Saunders!  :)
