I paid about 6 euro including shipping... I bought only for that, so you confirm me it's a fake? the strange thing is that the track is not sourced from the official mp3 but look likes lossless...

I suppose it could be real, though I've not heard any mention of it being on radio.

The track was available on the iTunes Store in 256 kbps AAC, which would be a higher quality source than the MP3, though not lossless.

Is yours a CD Acetate?  I just bought one about 10 minutes ago from eBay for a hair under $7 shipped.  I am a little confused by this sentence of yours: "the cd version has less cut on the high frequecies but not full".  Help me understand what you're saying here--the CD sounds better than the 192 kbps mp3 from Oprah's website, as well as the iTunes 256 kbps version, but is (or is not) somehow still compromised?  And have you confirmed that the CD is lossless or is that just an assumption?  Just wanting to get as much data on my new purchase as possible...

yes, it's a cdr... the cd sounds very similar to the itunes aac (so better than the mp3). this is the spectrum analysys, as you can see the cd does not look like a 100% CDDA but has more frequencies than the aac, so the source can't be the 192k mp3 or the aac... there is something strange in it...

AAC

I have just found the mp3 on amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/Americas-Song/dp/B001QSBU4K
maybe this one is encoded at 320k, unfortunately I can't buy mp3 from amazon USA with my italian credit card...

Nope--it clearly reads: "Format: MP3, 256 kbps — plays on iPod® and all MP3 players".  I guess the mystery continues.  Thanks for the screenshots, though.  I guess, bottomline, this CD Acetate is the highest quality version yet available.
