| Recorded in 1985, Bono duets with Maire Brennan on the song
"In a Lifetime" originally released on the album Macalla. The song
is a haunting traditional tune. In a Lifetime was released as a single,
and a promotional video was filmed for release. The video features
a longhaired Bono, with wind blowing out behind him. This was the
look that inspired the look of DC Comic's Sandman character.
The song itself has been a staple of various Clannad compilations over
the years. Each time they package together another, the song appears
yet again. It also tends to pop up on many celtic collections.
It was also released twice as a single, once in 1985 to promote the album
Macalla
and again in 1989 to promote the compilation,
Past
Present. |
