OTHER NOTES |
Bono supposedly contributes vocals to the track "Long Black
Veil" but in a strange twist he is not credited in the album credits.
The information about his involvment comes from various news bits over
the years, and mention of this album in discographies published by those
who would know, like Niall Stokes.
The lead vocals are by Mick Jagger and The Chieftens. Originally
they were performed by Bono, but were not used. These had been recorded
at Windmill Lane. Although Bono's vocals were not used, the instrumentals
from that session were supposedly used, meaning it may be possible to hear
Bono way back in the mix somewhere. |
