A Maritime band known as
Signal Hill are rumored to be big u2 fans. What better way to answer
those rumors but to record a live album and include a version of WTSHNN.
Since those living outside of Nova Scotia will never have the opportunity
to purchase the live album called "Genuine" I've uploaded an mp3 of it
in my xoom account...don't know how long it will stay there, so get it
while you can. Please let me know what you think of it...Click here
to download...change the file extension to .mp3 and it should work!

Check out the Promos 1990-2000
to see the latest additions...and where I'm taking this section.
Added individual pages for several of these promos...Only 5 days until
the one year anniversary of these pages. What a year it's been...Hope
you've enjoyed seeing this page grow...I'm still going...
September 27, 1999
The discography is growing!
Added were some updates on releases...to the song list...the individual
pages are coming soon...A Change in the Frames menu, I added my counter
to my u2.org site, and I've added a list of cover versions of U2 songs
that exist out there. Individual pages for the RPO playing U2 and
the We Will Follow tribute will follow soon.
September 13, 1999
The first update for a while
to the content of the discography...It's been overdue I know. Added
this time out...The Lone Justice CD with Bono
on Sweet Jane...Cookie's Fortune Soundtrack
with Bono on A Good Man and Edge on Patrol Car Blues...The Russell Mills
Undark project featuring the Edge...The
Popmart Live from Mexico City video...An Upcoming
Releases page...Hoping to have much more time here in the near future...Keep
checking in...the xoompage is coming down this week...
August 24, 1999
A new home for me at www.u2.org
and a complete new look...ok so it's not that new, but I like it better.
I'm back and this page is going to get much better. For those who
wondered...I hate XOOM these days....avoid them like the plague.
I really hate their stuck-up-on-top-where-you-can't-just-hide-it style
advertising. Now that it's gone from my page I'm returning to work...
March 28, 1999
Well I missed this page
last time I updated...I've been looking for a new server because I hate
that xoom bar they have tacked on to my page...I'll let you know when I'm
moving out...Until then I'll keep updating here...Song list had a revamp
tonight, and I fixed up the catalog numbers and track listings from Lemon
onwards...we're getting there...I'm working a lot of overtime these days
so the updates are few and far between...
March 15, 1999
The updates are continuing
fast and furious...the singles pages are updated through to Lemon, and
I've added lyrics where there were none before...I'm trying to get these
singles pages finished off to help someone with a side project. Work
is going to get busy again starting tommorrow, so it may be a bit until
I get back...so Happy St. Patrick's day to all. Drink a green beer
for me!
March 14, 1999
A larger update this time.
I have gone through all the singles pages from 1980-1990, fixing up the
catalog numbers so they are easier to follow, adding a couple of new cover
images (Gloria, I Will Follow) and some new information (Two Hearts beat
as One). I'll be working on 1990-2000 tommorrow. Also added,
the I Will Follow single from 1983 from Under a Blood Red Sky. 5065
unique visitors, 7995 counting reloads...Based on reloads that's 3995 visits
since New Year's Eve...
March 10, 1999
Well another small update...added
the I Will Follow live single from 1982 released in Holland and Germany,
with both the front and backcovers of the single since it is so rare...
March 09, 1999
I'm back...two 80+ hour
weeks at work hve kept me incredibly busy...and away from the disco!
Only a small update this time...I've added a list of the numerous changes
found on the best of and b-sides compilations...The list is quite comphrehensive,
and I'll add to it as information is found. Check it out here.
I'm going to be picking at the pages in small doses over the next few days.
No large updates for a bit though! Sorry. 4899 Unique visitors,
7744 with Reloads.
February 20, 1999
Promos are expanding again
with the 1990-2000 section up now...I'll be working on some individual
pages up soon, as well as the third section of promos. Still have
a couple of things changing in the main discography...and a few other pages
are going up there tonight. I'm also working on videos now....the
commercial videocassettes available for now....videos for individual songs
later. I just got a VCR today so I've been watching all my videos
to put me in the mood to tackle this section. They look so young
in Rattle and Hum!!! Well it's been a few hours since I wrote that
and the videos section is going up along with this update. Check
it out. I have tommorrow off too, so should get another large update
done.
February 18, 1999
Hello...Well you've been
asking why that promo link doesn't work. Try it out now, and it might
just lead you somewhere. The section is just starting, and it's a
broad area to cover, but I've done my best. The 1990-2000 section
will be up soon starting with the Night + Day 12", and will include Mission
Impossible and the Passengers promos. The part that is there now
covers 1980-90. Sleep calls me to bed. I'll probably update
again tommorrow if I don't work too late. 4280 Unique visitors, 6831
including those pesky reloads. 123 days in existance and still growing.
February 14, 1999
Later in the day...I've
been hard at work...Rainbow Warriors, Alternative NRG, Live for Ireland,
Just for Kicks...all are ready to go. Unfortunately you won't see
them until tommorrow, as I'm going to bed right now...as well the elusive
promo page is finally under way, but needs some work before I post anything...we'll
see how much I can get done on it tommorrow.
February 14, 1999
Happy Valentine's Day.
The updates begin once again, with a new title banner and opening page.
As well the entries for Honeymoon in Vegas, the NME giveaways, They Call
it an Accident Soundtrack and several others are on line. The various
sub-catagory pages have been changed to reflect this. Oh yeah, the
song list has been updated with a couple of tracks I was missing offf of
Wrecking Ball by Emmylou Harris.
February 10, 1999
Well I have been gone for
a few weeks as promised. But I'm back now and work can start in full
swing again. First I have to download all that is there due to a
small harddrive crash. Then I'm going to review everything, and hopefully
start adding new material soon. I'm settled into a small town in
Nova Scotia, without a record store...hear my cries! Thankfully the
internet exists even here these days, and I'm back eh? My apologies
to any who have written since Christmas, but I'll have to wait a bit on
replies to everyone. I'm thinking of starting a small mailing circle
of people who are helping on this project, if you are interested in helping
out, please contact me. Hit the 4000 mark on New Year's Eve for visitors
including reloads, and currently stand at 6325 there, and 3964 unique visitations.
Busy month eh? To watch out for...this page finally has a better
name...I just haven't told you yet...Rewrites of the main page...Finally
a finish to the soundtracks/solo/and other pages...A Very Special Christmas,
the Promos, the other lyrics--things that just got pushed aside to work
on other sections, but I will return.
December 26, 1998
Knowing I won't be getting
back to the Disco for a few weeks, I put an effort in to finish up some
of the basics...before you ask, yes I'm keeping track of the numbers of
people visiting the page by tallying them here occasionally...right now
there are 2369 unique visitors, and 3768 if you count reloads. So
what's new you ask?
Well to begin, I fixed some minor mistakes on the solo pages, and added entries for Inner City Blues, Tower of Song, Common Ground, and the Jimmie Rodgers Tribute. These can be accessed through the solo pages or by the listing of songs. I also did a massive upgrade to the non-album page, listing all (?) of the appearances of the full band not on an album or a single released by U2. Entries for Folkways, Red Hot and Blue, Out Loud, and Special Brew have also been added which can be reached through this section, or through the total song list. You may be asking what's left...well on the horizon are They Call it an Accident Sdtk, Honeymoon in Vegas Sdtk., A Very Special Christmas, Live for Ireland and a few others!!! If I get time tonight some of these may get done...most likely not though.
December 25, 1998
Hello there and please accept
my apologies. I have been given a job, which is keeping me in a hotel in
Dartmouth NS, away from the web...so the discography building has slowed
to nothing. It is my hope to get back at it in full force when I
get settled into my own place, but for now, I can't do much. Please
keep visiting this page, as it will let you know when updates have occured,
or are due to occur. I will also post to Wire, alt.fan.u2, and alt.
music.u2 when the page is being regularily worked on again. Merry
Christmas to all, and Happy New Year!!!
December 6, 1998
Well it was a slow day.
I did get some updated links added to that section...don't forget, if you
have a U2 page and want me to check it out for inclusion send me the address.
Got to some of the stockpiled email today...sorry it is taking me so long
in replying. Also updated the solo section a little, as those are
the projects I'm currently working on pages for. 1526 Unique visitors
since mid-October, 2432 hits including reloads...quite a few visitors,
thanks for the comments and questions.
December 5, 1998
Twenty days until Christmas,
and I still haven't gotten around to the A Very Special Christmas Album...that
will change soon. I've just made major alterations to the songs listing,
cutting the size of the file in half by getting rid of some redundant formatting,
and adding the venue and exact date to the live recordings...which lead
me to think why don't I have a live page...so one of those is on the way.
The other change on the song list is that the tracks on the Best Of have
been reindexed where they are different from the original source tracks...and
finally you don't have to look under T for "THE"'s anymore...that's right
I fixed the alphabetization. The Ocean is now listed under O, for
Ocean, The.
Other updates...I've been busy...The original LP cover of the Joshua Tree is now shown as well as the CD release cover. Anyone else think the old is way better than the blurry CD one? I've also added a larger version of the Captive Soundtrack cover, and finally, although I couldn't find the cover for the "Heroine" single, I did find an advertisement for it, which I'm told is similar to the cover, anyone care to confirm this? The Advertisement is on the page where Heroine - The Single is indexed. I've also got the scans for several other projects done, such as the Tribute to Leonard Cohen CD, and those entries should be up soon as you read this.
December 3, 1998
Soundtrack pages for Heat
and Mission Impossible are both up. Reorganized the solo pages.
Now you can go to one of four pages (one for each band member) to see all
of that person's non U2 work...all of these solo pages are just getting
started so hang on...I know I'm missing stuff. I'm figuring a few
more weeks and this project of mine should be done...at least the initial
draft...then I'll be going back and editing every page to add new information,
to fix up any oversites, to add in the last of the missing lyrics etc.
December 2, 1998
Oops didn't get the other
stuff uploaded yesterday so this here is a double update...Soundtracks
section is coming along. I have pages up for Until the End of the
World, Faraway So Close, and Batman Forever, as well as all the movie soundtracks
that fell under the collaboration headings. New image of the Canadian
Cover of Faraway So Close (the soundtrack) which I like a lot better than
the European cover...for once we got the "good" cover. Lots of visitors,
1306 unique and 2076 if you count reloads...I'm getting close to 90 hits
a day, so forgive me if I don't answer all of your mail...I'll get to it
soon!!!
December 1, 1998
All of the collaborations
I originally planned on doing are up, but some are in need of additional
info. If you can provide it, please email me! Coming soon to
the collaboration list are Maria McKee (The Sweet Jane from the Lone Justice
CD, and backing vocals on Dancing Barefoot I believe) and Ecco Homo (New
York New York) and everything else I forgot. Right now I'm going
to move on to the soundtracks section and beef that up before returning
to have another go at the collaborations...When I have everything else
up and running I plan on returning to the little picky stuff like catalog
numbers and lyrics...please be patient...U2 have done a lot of recording
over the years!!! Oh yeah, I also started reformatting the Soundtracks
main page, updating some links and stuff and also updated the songs page
with new links to the individual pages.
November 28, 1998
Made it home to Ingonish
this week, and just got signed to a new service provider...right now i'm
lucky to get hooked up to the web at 14.4, I despertly need a new modem.
As for updates the major area that I still am hacking away at is the collaborations
area. To that end I updated the pages for Do They Know it's Christmas
(Band Aid) and Annie Ross' version of Conversation on a Barstool.
Both have some additional information to serve you better such as a listing
of performers as well as track lengths and catalog numbers. As well
the last five collaborations are finished as I write this, all I need it
time to upload them...included is the cover to the Snakecharmer EP, which
I have never seen on the web before...check it out. Lot's of people
are visiting, and I believe we are over 900 unique hits as I write this.
Most have stopped by due to the cover for the 1990-2000 thingee I did...I
really should edit that page so it reads a little more smoothly, but it
was just something I threw together quickly...and yes I did mean to put
North and South of the River there...somehow I forgot it. My mistake.
November 21, 1998
Oops...didn't upload this
early enough...some of my files were corrupted on the xoom server...most
are now fixed...i.e. the TRANSFER INTERUPTED you could see on the main
page is now gone. Not much new in the discography though...thanks
to those who confirmed the Manifesto Mix is indeed the same as the Perfecto
Mix...the exact same, right down to length. I still enjoy the album,
but was a little upset at recognizing this wasn't a new mix...
The only other news is my thoughts on the Best of 1990-2000 can now be found on this site...including my proposed cover. If you want to see this, its here. I will be out of Halifax for a bit now, and I'm not sure of my internet access for a little bit. I will be working on the page, but may not get the updates uploaded as often...check here to find out what's up with the pages. I do have email access out of town, so feel free to drop me any suggestions.
November 15, 1998
I'm back, but things will
be slow for a bit...I'm still getting settled in. Did find a new
version of Mysterious Ways here in Halifax...it's called the Manifesto
Mix, is 7:06 and was found on a compilation called Rock O' The Irish...I'll
get the rest of the info to you soon, but the release is on Beloved Records
(??) and features tracks by Sinead O'Connor, the Pogues, Ash, and the Waterboys...looks
like an official mix...although any info would be great...The album was
released this year. (SEE NOTE FROM NOVEMBER 21- this is not a new mix).
As well I've done a little work throughout the page...the links are slowly being built...thanks for sending them in everyone...I'm a little slow to get things up that's all. The image of the best of album is now available big, as is the back with the limited edition message which many have been interested in. Look through...I'm far from done, but I'm getting closer..
November 9, 1998
Collaboration stuff done
up to Mike Stipe (REM), this will be the last update for a couple of days,
as I am moving to Halifax tommorrow. See you when I get there.
November 6, 1998 - Evening
Added the Winamp Skin to
the pages...lets you change the look of Winamp to that of the best of packaging.
Check it out here.
November 6, 1998 - Morning
and Afternoon
Working on the collaborations
again...i've got pretty well everything done up to Robbie Robertson.
That leaves 11 to go...then I'll hop on to another section tommorrow.
Let me know what you think.
November 5, 1998 - Today
Sorry for the lag...personal
reasons have kept me from working on these pages the past few days...I
hope that you don't think I've stopped building the page...it's still going.
Unfortunately things may get a little more sporadic over the next month
as I move back to Halifax...oh well I'll be back with my scanner, making
these pages so much easier to build...and I'll be closer to the guy who
has sold me most of my rarities over the years!...But there is something
new...the format...see I am capable of making things look a little more
professional...hopefully it doesn't slow things down for anyone...if you
are having troubles with the speed let me know, and I'll tone down some
of the graphics a little further.
November 1, 1998 - Evening
Click on the images of the
cover on the singles and album pages, get bigger images. Works from
Three...Sweetest Thing with a few images missing. I can't find my
clear scan of the Fly right now, will fix this one later. The bigger
images are at Geocities, hope it isn't too slow. All of the larger
images are 450 pixels in height...Should have the images from the best
hits on Tuesday, and where oh where has my Popheart gone?
October 29, 1998 - Morning
Added to the collaboration
section. We are up to The B.B King now. Unfortunately Xoom is down
as far as getting the information uploaded, so you guys can't see the latest
two updates as I write this. Hopefully all is working soon.
October 28, 1998 - Evening
Added the Gavin Friday page
to the collaboration section. Almost as much to do there as there
was with Clannad. Almost done the first set of collaborations though.
October 28, 1998 - Morning
and Afternoon
Added to the collaborations
section from the Chieftens to Kirk Franklin, this included the Clannad
section...do you know how many albums "In a lifetime" can be found on?
Six releases from Clannad alone if I haven't missed any...and looking at
it now i did...oops....back to work.
October 27, 1998 - Afternoon
and Evening
Added some more track lengths,
and you can now click on the cover pictures of some of the smaller pictures
(Miss Sarajevo single - Sweetest Thing single for a larger picture 450
pixels high)...this is taking longer than originally thought. Perhaps
another week to get the singles and collaborations done. I'll start
the solo and promo sections after that. 158 unique visitors and counting!
Thanks for stopping by.
October 27, 1998 - Morning
All of the singles and albums
by U2 are up in some format...as is the Captive Album (on the solo page)...the
song list has been updated to fix some links, and to add some new ones.
It's getting there!!!
October 26, 1998 - Morning
Weekend is over, and it's
back to work. First up you now can download my Windows background,
which is a collage of the various covers to singles and albums u2 have
released...that's under the cover
collage artwork link...it's an 800x600 jpg. A few more collaborations
are up, including everything alphabetically up to Ray Charles. It's
going to be a slow day, don't expect much to change until tommorrow.
October 23, 1998 - Morning
Added the singles listed
from In the Name of the Father to Please, but they still need lyric links
and catalog numbers. When I get the last two singles finished this
afternoon I will go back and start finishing this.
October 22, 1998 - Morning
Added to singles, the Fly
through to Stay (Faraway So Close), as well as the Sweetest Thing, but
they still need lyric links, and catalog numbers
October 21, 1998 - Afternoon
Added the first five listings
under collaborations...Artists Against Apartheid, Howie B., Band Aid, Mary
J. Blige, and Paul Brady. Check out what I've done with this section,
and let me know if you like how it is presented.
October 21, 1998 - Morning
Added lyrics for albums
Melon, Pop, PopHeart, and Best of 1980-1990, bringing album section to
near completion. Only confirming the lyrics on the Best of remains.
October 20, 1998
Singles pages for Two Hearts
Beat as One through to All I Want is You are now complete and viewable,
lyrics for these singles added as well. Updated navigation bar to
reflect upcoming sections of the page I'm hoping to add, including a cover
collage, suitable for windows wallpaper...coming soon.
