Hmmm...

I suppose I can combine the 1080p video with the audio from the 720p stream. Thanks, Andrey.

Is it just me or does Ordinary Love sound like a Coldplay song?

Tonight U2 won a Golden Globe for Ordinary Love.

Larry said, "Not only South Africa, but thanks to Mandela, the course of history in our country, holy Catholic Ireland, was changed forever. Amen."

Adam thanked Brian Burton for producing and Chris Martin for working out the song, and welcomed Guy Oseary to the U2 family.

::: I knew that piano riff was not copied from Coldplay: Mr. Martin himself, I'm sure, came with those chords...in the TV boradcast he was extremely happy for the shout out...now it makes sense.  ???

::: almost 13 years since U2 was on the Academy Awards ceremony performing 'Hands that built America'.

The very same day that US start the bombing on Al-Qaeda...not so convinced on that move, a mini-objection was done by Larry, playing the intro drum-roll of SBS at the end of the song. I remember have seen this live, still recording on VHS :P. ::)

Didn't find a YouTube footage of that performance...strange.  8)

The riff is quite standard. Gm (d, g, bes) (2nd Inversion), Dm (d f a), F (c f a) (2nd Inversion), C (c e g)
That's why it sounds so familiar. Almost anyone can play this.

Yet another new mix of "Ordinary Love." This was apparently uploaded by someone at Interscope, so I think it's legit:

Tx for the link, been listening to this since you posted and I must say I like it. It's sped up from the single and Epworth versions about 7-8 bpm and follows the single version lyrics except for the 'tough enough' verse which now serves as the end. Someone should call up this Phan guy who does the promo stuff for UMG and ask him where it came from.

Any idea who made this? It sounds like it might possibly be an alternate mix the band did since there's no other name attached.  ???

I like it too. It somehow sounds more "U2" to me than the other two versions.  I love how Adam's bass is brought forward in the mix at one point.  I'm curious to know the story behind this one.

At some point I read that people who saw the movie claimed it had a different mix than the one on OST... maybe that's it?

i listened to the version in the movie against the released versions.  And to me it sounds most like the version on the soundtrack.  Unless there was another version featured in an early cut of the movie?  I've got a rip of the movie version if anyone wants to compare.  Just drop me a note and i'll send it on.
