I bet sirensong would like this one!!

...so you were hearing on the radio this song, but still Mtv was not near your town...suddendly, you saw on a display window walking downtown: U2...how it was like??

After school there was this local tv show, they used to air a couple of video clips... I met the band with the SBS videoclip, the one from Red Rocks...I hated Bono! It was like so over the top with the white flag, but the time would put my words where it belonged...besides that, It was before I shave my face for the first time

And You?? you miss that bushy blond hair that Adam use to have??? That's cool....

I guess for me the first time would have been the cover of the Joshua Tree CD.  I thought it was weird they just warped the picture to fit the format instead of cropping, but didn't have any strong feelings about the band's presentation.

The first time I saw what the band looked like...? That's a tough one! I guess I saw the over of Pop, which isn't very revealing.  Of cousre it shows their faces but it's all colored and shaded with dots...so..

The first time I remember seeing what Bono (the former love of my life, haha) looked like...was live at Popmart.  They were walking through the crowd, and I was front row between the first section and the second section, so he walked right past me.  And of course Bono was being, well, Bono. Loving the attention and hamming it up for all the cameras.  That was for about 20 seconds, but after that..I was hooked. Bono girl all the way.

Feeling fan-girlish and foolish,
Stefanie :)

Man, what a question...first time, was back 20 years ago in the meadowlands stadium located in the USA. I was but 14 years old and fell in trance of their song Drowning Man from the WAR album.  My father had died a year earlier and this song captured my heart and soul.

When the Unforgettable Fire album was released I can remember laying in my bed with my walkman engulfed by the rich sound...

As for the concert, I can remember that the sound was not that good but U2 was simply energetic and I have been proud to call myself a traveler on their adventure...ever since.

...is quite interesting you used the word "Rich sound" to define TUF album...I'm always saying that for this Record.

Well...for me U2 music incredible RICH music and that is what I love about it. The words have deep meaning but also the music. I feel like I hear words in the music(instruments) becuase it is so touching.

I am a lyric man and Bono can sure hammer home meaning.

good stuff all around
