How much of an issue has the DVD format been in the States there? Have a lot of people been complaining about the mistake? I only ask out of curiosity because as I understand, DVD players have been equipped to play both formats for quite a while now. I would've thought any player bought within about the last 5 years has the capability of changing formats once the disc is popped in, if not allowing the user to manually change the format (which I understand can be annoying). Same with DVRs. And with TVs these days, although for TVs it's probably those bought within the last 2 years. Not to challenge you guys if you're not able to play the disc, but I was just under the impression these units could play both PAL and NTSC. Certainly in Australia, that's been my experience.

I have two Samsung Blu-ray players, one of them purchased within the past year, and neither will play a Region 0 PAL DVD.

My old Sony DVD player will play PAL discs, but rather that converting from 576i to 480i, it just crops off the top and bottom.

I can play the Zoo TV DVD just fine, but I'm still not sure if that's because I got a genuine NTSC copy, or because I got a PAL copy but my blu-ray player (an LG model, less than a year old) can play it.  My tv is probably at least 8 years old.  I've been meaning to put the DVD in my computer at home to see if I can determine whether it's a PAL or NTSC copy.

I also am probably gonna wait to buy it.  I bought the Bruce Springsteen Darkness set right away at what I thought was a bargain and I think it did come down further after that.  So as much as I'd like to see/hear it all, I can wait.

But still wondering is there a list anywhere of all the bonus material (on the DVDs)?  Anything that is especially notable?

Has anyone found any sound tests done on the remaster?

Or, for that matter, the 24/96 version?

If you are referring to the HDtracks version, it is a 24-bit 44.1 master. Maybe its 48khz, but I know it isn't 24/96

Has anyone legally successfully downloaded the Super and Uber Deluxe versions via iTunes or amazon?

Not on the push site.

Pretty sure the only place to download the Super/Über stuff is from the Über bonus site.

The only place these are available is on the Super / Uber CD versions.  Or via the download site that has these up.
They are all over the net on torrent sites and the like, but if you are looking for an 'official' release, so far the only way to get them is through the box sets themselves.

My new favorite Bono pic

Sorry I'm not doing justice to the photos in this book. The paper stock is very thick.

I've gotta say, as much as I was looking forward to the music, I'm loving the book on the Super Deluxe.  The photos are amazing and every single essay is engaging and worth reading, unlike a few of the essays in the other deluxe editions.

Does it say what Bono is doing there? It looks like he's reflecting but when I look further, he seems to be reading something. I get my uber set either tomorrow or Tuesday. I'm pumped!
