A Sort of Homecoming

So I gotta ask...

I was looking at the discography and noticed that there are two mixes of  the live version of 'A Sort of Homecoming.' (Birmingham, 1984) It says that on the Wake Awake version, the Edge's vocals are muted and on the Australian Single of the Unforgettable Fire they are not muted.  However, when I play Wide Awake... I can clearly hear the Edge's backing harmonies.  Is he just mixed louder in the Australian single?  Does it make a big difference?  I was just curious about that.  Which version showed up on TUF remaster bonus disk?

Wide Awake In America version---Edge is not audible until 1:39  (muted vocal)

Single version---Edge comes in at :25 on the word "hunger"  (unmuted vocal)


In this case the word "muted" means "not in the mix". There are other small differences, one of which occurs at the very beginning. The WAIA version includes Bono saying "yeah, hoo-ooo" as the song is starting. There's some other lyrics differences in the middle of the song.

It can get confusing.  ;)

Okay... that makes sense.
Has the Australian version of the song been released on CD or in digital form since?
