Until The End Of The World
Tibetan Freedom Concert
Downing Stadium
Randall’s Island, NY
June 7th, 1997
Uh-huh-uh-huh-uh-huh
Uh-huh-uh-huh-uh-huh-uh-huh
(Give it up
Give it up
Give it up now)
Haven't seen you in quite a while
I was down the hold just killing time
Last time we met it was a low-lit room
We were as close together as a bride and a groom
We ate the booze, the bread and the wine
Everybody having a good time
Except me
And I’m still talking about an end of the world
(Hurry up)
I took the money, I spiked your drink
You miss too much these days if you stop to think
You led me on with those innocent eyes
You know I love the elements of surprise
In the garden I was playing the tart
I kissed your lips, broke your heart
You, you were acting
Like it was the end of the world
(Rev it up)
(Rev it up)
?
Love, love, love
Love, love
Love, love, love
Love, love, love
Love, love
Love
In my dream I was drowning my sorrows
My sorrows, they learned to swim
Surrounding me, going down on me
Spilling over the brim
Waves of regret, and waves of joy
I reached out to the ones I tried to destroy
You, you said you'd wait
Until the end of the world
Yeah
That’s what you said
What you said now
(Lift off)
Audio
Break on through
Break on through, yeah
Break on
Break out again, yeah
Break it up again
?—your sky—my heartless sky
Your heart is mine (heartless mind)
Your shady shoes
Your reddish blues
Your electric shoes (juice)
Yeah I’ll teach you my, teach you my world
Break on through
Break on through
To the other side
Way (on the other side)
Boy, you got it, you got it
You got it fast as you can (?)
This is awesome
Very murky "snippet", to say the least. I hear it different every time so I posted options that might make sense. Only God knows what he sings when he goes off like that. Especially at that point in the song. I checked Rutherford, 1997-06-03 and he just repeats "break on through". Ditto for the following show at Philly, 1997-06-08. I haven't listened to the rest of the Pop shows.
