Walk On (Edit/Video Version)
« on: March 13, 2008, 10:38:17 PM »
Hey all,
Just wondering if someone can give me some info on 2 versions of Walk On. I'd like to know if 'Walk On (Edit)' and 'Walk On (Video Version)' are exactly the same. They are both listed as 4:28 on the discography section of u2wanderer.org but still not sure if this means they are the exact same song.
Just a note, the discography on the Walk On page says specifically that the 'Walk On (Single Version)' is NOT the same as 'Walk On (Edit)' but my question is about 'Walk On (Video Version)' and 'Walk On (Edit)'.
I'm in the middle of a collection and want to make sure I don't buy an extra unnecessary CD.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Joe

Walk On—Video version, my copy is 4:30

At 3:51

Walk on
Hoo…

All that you fashion…etc.

Walk On---Edit version, my copy is 4:28

At 3:46

Walk on
You’ve got to leave it behind

All that you fashion…etc.

Not the same lyrics, though this is the only part where they differ.

Hope this helps.

Hmmm...

Somehow missed this one.  Now I have to pull out my Walk On Canadian single and rip that track.  I have my own ever-expanding version of "The Complete U2" to add it to. :)

Incidentally, the track length for the edit is incorrectly listed on the sleeve as 4:23.

If you corroborate was has already been said, I'll definitely buy the 2 separate CDs with the separate tracks on them. It's enough of a difference for me.
Thanks
Joe
