Someone should plot an elaborate, risky, Mission Impossible-style scheme to infiltrate the RSC Library in the dead of night... drop down through the ceiling, grab the tape, replace it with a copy of the Star Wars Christmas Special, and return to the top-secret base camp to copy and distribute it for U2 fans worldwide...
What? It's a good idea!
I've actually been fortunate enough to hear Alex Descends played LOUD on an arena speaker system. It was the most unexpected thing - the local professional box lacrosse team used the song a few years ago as part of their pregame player introduction. My girlfriend (also a big U2 fan) and I heard the opening rumble of the song and immediately looked at each other. Our jaws were both practically on the floor. Really, it was a surreal moment - arena lights out, spotlights on, crowd cheering... and hearing this B-side that you've always thought would make a killer introduction to something... making a killer introduction!
Someone in charge of marketing that team HAD to be a U2 fan - nobody else would even know enough about that song to use it like that!
