There are colors on the street / Yeah
Yeah, red, white, and blue
People shufflin’ their feet
Yeah people sleeping in shoesThere’s a warning sign in the road ahead
There’s a lot of people saying we’d be better off dead
I don’t feel like Satan but I am to them
So I gotta forgive ‘em any way I canKeep on rockin’ in the free world
Keep on rockin’ in the free world
Keep on rockin’ in the free world
Keep on rockin’ in the free worldThere are colors on the street
Green, white, and gold
A thought you can’t defeat
A thought that’s never growing old
You can write it on a t-shirt
Or write it on your heart
It’s a long, long road
But you gotta make a start
You gotta trust your vision of the visibility
If you wanna make
poverty historyKeep on rockin’ in the free world
Keep on rockin’ in the free world
Keep on rockin’ in the free world
Keep on rockin’ in the free world
I’m over on the leftI’m over on the right
But we both stand togetherWe stand together all night
Yeah go write in a t-shirt
Write it in your heart
It’s a mighty long road
But we gotta make a start
You gotta trust
your vision of the visibilty
If you wanna make poverty historyKeep on rockin’ in the free world
Keep on rockin’ in the free world
Keep on rockin’ in the free world
Keep on rockin’ in the free world
I’m a singer in a band
I’m a father of oneI do what I can
I do it till it’s soreWhen she wakes up in the night
I hold my little girl
I want to save her hope
As I want to own the worldYou gotta trust your vision of the visibilty
If you wanna make poverty history, yeah
Keep on rockin’ in the free world
Keep on rockin’ in the free world
Keep on rockin’ in the free worldYeah,
keep on rockin’ in the free worldI don’t know how to end
I love The Edge (laughs)I love The Edge
I love The Edge
We love The Edge
We love The Edge
We love The EdgePearl Jam!
What we got
Let's dance
Hopefully U2 will release this in a "Best Of' Vertigo Tour highlights DVD.
It's a killer version.
Eddie is feeling no pain and he and Bono do a quick Irish spin dance. They each get thrown a tambourine to bang on in the middle of the song, Bono smacking Eddie in the ass once and then Eddie throws his to the crowd. When Bono can't figure out how to end the song, Eddie sings "I love The Edge" and they end the song that way with the crowd cheering wildly. As the song ends Eddie almost pulls Bono down with a hug, which is more like a mugging.
