Which U2 Lyrics do you sing the most?
« on: February 13, 2005, 02:35:00 PM »
I have a 2½ year old son and when place him bed almost everynight since he was about 6 months old I sing:
MLK--The Unforgettable Fire

Sleep
Sleep tonight
And may your dreams
Be realized
If the thunder cloud
Passes rain
So let it rain
Rain down on him
So let it be
So let it be

Sleep
Sleep tonight
And may your dreams
Be realized
If the thundercloud
Passes rain
So let it rain
Let it rain
Rain on him

He has started to sing along a bit and if I don't sing it he will ask for me to sing.

When the usual crap is coming down on my head at work I'll sing/mutter "It's a beautiful day" with as much dripping sarcasm as possible. I'm afraid if I had a 2 year old son this would stunt his psychic growth. LOL

Actually starting to appreciate the album version more than the "glorious" dvd version because I hear this in Bono's clipped reading' "Beautiful Day" vs "Beautiful Dayayayay". Where's that ironic smiley?

Well, actually my "sons" are at the "bail me out I need money stage." I might hum a bit of "Xanax and Wine". That seems to help.
