Yes, there are different mixes of several of the songs! In fact, the film seems so intentional about highlighting them that it almost seems like they might intend to release them at some point. Maybe just wishful thinking.

So . . . . . are you saying the film is available to purchase at the iTunes Store?

Apple Music and iTunes are two different beasts. On iTunes you buy tracks and videos. On Apple Music you pay a subscription fee on a monthly basis which lets you view any number of videos / tracks while you are a subscriber.  The "Liner Notes" piece is on Apple Music.  It is not available on iTunes. (A shame really, as it's rather well done...)

Aaron, thank you for the explanation.  I really appreciate it.  I just went to YouTube and on my main page, there was a video titled:
U2 - 'Liner Notes' - A film by Matt Mahurin   Narrated by Bono
The total time for the video is listed as 9:37 and it was posted on YouTube by superyo77.  Is 9:37 the correct total time of the film that is on Apple Music?
If it is the full video, then I am surprised it was allowed to be posted on YouTube.

I have no interest in subscribing to Apple Music.  That may change in the future, but . . . . . as of this moment, I'm not interested.  Regardless, I never expected to have a chance to watch the film.  I am watching this YouTube video right now and I wish there was subtitles in English.  The reason is . . . . . . I can't understand some of the words Bono has already said.  For me, it's partly because of his accent and partly because there is music playing and it interferes with the clarity of some of the words.  I looked on the screen for a Closed-Captioning option, but I can't find it.

It is the full video.  It was posted on U2.Com on Sunday as a subscriber exclusive.  Someone has ripped it from there and uploaded it to YouTube.  Watch it while it lasts.

The article on U2.com (available only if you are a subscriber and logged in) said it would be released as well (probably Friday)

If you have the CD, the liner notes have this essay included. They aren't the easiest to read because of the colour scheme, but they are there.

Thank you for the quick feedback.  I was waiting to see what the U2.com subscription offer is . . . . . before deciding to re-subscribe.

I don't have the Songs Of Experience CD yet; however . . . . . tonight, I found a yellow slip in my post office box so it must be for the Japan order I placed on November 30.  I'm not expecting anything else in the mail.  Tomorrow, I will take the yellow slip to the post office counter and they will retrieve the package.  Then I can finally read those liner notes.

The linear notes are quite an 'experience' and highly personal. If you have any questions about pronunciation please ask with the YouTube video time segment noted. I am familiar with Irish accents and expressions.

Sadly the goal is to get you to sign up with Apple Music.

It's part of their 'artistic wash marketing strategy' to lead you believe that more tracks exisit and that you have to collect them. I will bow down to the addiction that is collecting.

Would anyone be interested in creating a SOE companion master list of official tracks not on the Super Deluxe? This would include promos, remixes, Spotify singles and such?

Since it's easy for me in the back-end of the site to grab this:

Get Out of Your Own Way (Radio Edit)
Get Out of Your Own Way (Switch Remix)
The Blackout (Jacknife Lee Remix)
The Blackout (Live from Amsterdam)
The Little Things That Give You Away (Live from Seattle) - U2Com Streaming
The Little Things That Give You Away (Recorded at Neptune Valley) - Spotify Singles
What's Going On (Recorded at Neptune Valley) - Spotify Singles
You're The Best Thing About Me (Acoustic Version)
You're The Best Thing About Me (Sci-Fi Soul Mix)
You're The Best Thing About Me (Live from Sao Paulo) - Amazon U2 Experience

This does not include the alternate mixes in "Liner Notes" as they are partials. The links to the discography / video entries for these are available here: http://www.u2songs.com/news/soe/

Great! We'll keep adding to this in prep for the future deluxe re-issues.

That You're The Best Thing About Me (Live from Sao Paulo) - Amazon U2 Experience  is going to be impossible to track down. Anyone?
