The download voucher info is news to me. I want to get the Lights of Home [Free Yourself / Beck Remix] so I will need the download voucher because I don't collect vinyl. I don't think there is a record store here in Jackson. I will have to look. If not, I will call the record stores in Denver or maybe even Salt Lake City. But with only 5,000 copies worldwide, I'm afraid I won't be able to get one. But if I'm lucky and I get one, I'm only interested in the download voucher. I don't want the vinyl record. It should be with someone who wants it.

They haven't embraced the idea of a specific day where records are limited and certain retailers get preference over another. So its always interesting to watch what happens there we are told. This year they are showing up on Amazon, and shipping early. Last year for "Red Hill Mining Town" Universal sold them direct through their website in France. And going back to 2010, Wide Awake in Europe was sold in FNAC stores (an electronics / music store chain similar to a big box USA store)

It might not get huge participation, but there is absolutely an official RSD in France: http://disquaireday.fr/ So it's strange that Universal is offering copies to amazon there. The pics I've seen on Twitter clearly show "RecordStoreDay.Com" on the outer label of the copies sold by amazon.fr.
I wonder if there's a chance that the RSD copies for official indie stores will include the digital download mentioned on the RSD site? That might be a small (very small) distinguishing factor between the Amazon copies and the RSD copies.

U2s marketing strategy is to have fans buy vinyl. Period. Google news search The Cure, Mixed Up and they did the same thing. If collectors weren't chasing down some lost Australian edit what would they be doing.
With respect to U2, there is a lot of surface noise on the Lights of Home vinyl. I wasted a lot of time trying to get a semi-clean vinyl rip before the download dropped. :P

Downloaded from where? The radio edit on playiga.com is shorter by about 36 seconds. Shorter intro and then fades out before Kendrick Lamar's bit.

It is always better to trust a post on an online forum over the web's most authoritative resource on the subject. At least in this case, anyway. As you can see from the link I provided in my previous post, DrewG.'s remix as posted on Soundcloud.com (https://soundcloud.com/drewghanser/u2-love-is-bigger-than-anything-in-its-way-drewg-remix-1) is 5:26 in length. There may, of course, also be an edited version that the website is instead referring to.
Interestingly, the URL for DrewG.'s mix ends with "u2-love-is-bigger-than-anything-in-its-way-drewg-remix-1". This seems to indicate that he does have another mix made. Perhaps it is 3:36 in length?

What is posted just sounds like a fade-in/fade-out of whatever the full version is, sort of like Brian Cau's Club Mix of LIBTAIIW (see https://soundcloud.com/briancua/u2-love-is-bigger-than-anything-in-its-way-brian-cua-club-mix (https://soundcloud.com/briancua/u2-love-is-bigger-than-anything-in-its-way-brian-cua-club-mix)). That's on his official Soundcloud page, and he even writes on it's "official" and that he expects it to come out in a week or two. I think it's easiest (editing- and tracking-wise) to just wait until at least a full version is available before adding it to the list right now.

The Jesus Montanez Remix has been pushed to DJs for promotion so it has been released. You're also missing the Twisted Dee remix that was pushed with the Jesus Montanez Remix. Both were pushed out on May 21 for promo. I've moved things around below to match how I think it should be.

I am not fond of the album version of Love Is Bigger Than Anything In Its Way. I just don't like the main melody/hook in the song. So it makes sense that I also don't like most of the remixes of that song. However, I just purchased the Daybreakers, Cheat Codes and Will Clarke remixes from the iTunes Store. They have very little of the original song in them and that must have some influence on why I like them. They aren't the greatest remixes, but for me . . . . . . they are nice to just throw into a playlist and listen to as background music. I still need to find time to continue to go through the list in that first post and figure out what else I am interested in buying/acquiring. I sincerely appreciate you guys staying on top of any updated info concerning remixes and live performances.

What do you consider a DJ site in this thread? Music Worx? Dirrtyremixes? Soundcloud? ...?Yeah, Music Worx and Dirrrtyremixes are two. I don't consider SoundCloud as a DJ site because what I mean by "DJ site" is that you have to be a registered member to get the tracks, and the tracks are downloadable. Maybe SoundCloud Plus (is that the name?) would count if they're downloadable - I don't know. I'm also counting the DJ music pool sites like idjpool.com. The ones whose catalogues are publicly searchable don't have the new mixes, and the other ones are just too expensive to join just to search and hope. A couple of DJ friends I know were also unable to help me out.

I wouldn’t agree to that statement. Offer Nissims remix has been posted on the music platform Desire2Music. It is not the extended remix though, however, it definitely is more than a clip.

Ok, re: "Love is Bigger" climbing the Billboard dance club charts. How seriously can we take that? From what I can tell, Billboard doesn't distinguish between which version/remix of the song is being played in clubs. So it would seem to me that anyone with the money to commission 32 (and counting!) damn remixes of a song is going to inevitably end up on those charts. The market is beyond flooded. Or is there actually a version or versions that is getting serious play more than others?

No the chart is as you suspect, a compilation of all club reported play. And what better way to get 30 DJs to add it to their set than to get 30 DJs to remix it?
But it's still a fair measure I think, as everyone seems to be doing the same thing. I've seen so many mentions of these same DJs doing Celine Dion's Ashes, from the Deadpool soundtrack, that I've actually come to expect some of the same names to pop up on U2...and sure enough they have...

Aaron - is there any word on whether or not it will be coming out? Or any other mixes now that they'be got their #1 hit? I'm curious about the Dirty Pop mix and my favourite of the dance mixes, the Brian Cua remix - I don't know why it hasn't been put out yet!
Also, totally unrelated, it seems that, strangely, the HP Hoeger & Rusty Egan Remixes don't have a "&" in the titles. They all have the "&" on the U2songs site.

Well judging from the response to our story yesterday, U2 needs to get this out. I've never seen such a response on social media. These Fifth Harmony fans are already organizing listening/buying parties to try to drive the song up the charts when it comes out.

How strict are we trying to be on exact remix titles on Page 1 of this topic?

On a separate note, I hate it when track titles use all these different terms: Mix, Remix, Dub, Edit or Version. Some people try to explain the difference between all those terms, but I don’t like their explanations. Furthermore, even their explanations aren’t consistent.

Hopefully Rusty Egan gets his mixes out there. They seem to be the stand-outs on this single. The dance remixes are not as distinctive as some of the LIB efforts.
On a quick point of information, in my not-yet-released folder of youtube and soundcloud rips etc I have a 4.49 128kbps 'DJLW Dub' of Summer of Love, but can find no other references to it. Is this a mislabelling on my part?

Last word I had on the campaign was that there were two remixers that were expected to have mixes released. One had been sent for final approval (which would probably be the Mike Cruz mixes, they came out after that) and the other mixes had not yet been submitted for approval. At that point it was expected there would be no other mixes done for that particular track.

That UNDERHER Remix is gorgeous. As a huge DM fan, especially of some of their darker remixes, that one really caught my ear. I recommend keeping an ear out for it.

Can’t help but this is the worst Oakenfold remix of a U2 song I’ve ever heard. Don’t think that mix of original parts and dance parts really works for this song. Neither fish nor fowl.

After 5 separate playbacks, I still can't figure out if it is different from the album version.

Question #1 The U2 YouTube channel has a video of Bono and Edge performing a unique version of Sunday Bloody Sunday and the video is titled Bono & The Edge - Sunday Bloody Sunday - January 30 2022. I can extract the audio from the YouTube video but before I do that . . . . . does anyone know if U2 will be releasing it as an audio file that can be purchased?
