The entry for Night and Day at U2Wanderer for Night and Day (Youth's Remix) says "See Twilight Remix."
In fact, they are not the same. I haven't listened to them second by second to compare, but I know that there is a part at the end where the guitar keeps going on Youth's Remix, but on the Twilight Remix it doesn't. So at least one small but noticeable difference.

Thanks Mike. It's all fixed up on the new site - u2songs.com - if you have not taken a look yet.

Sorry to be a fly in the ointment, but can that listing be tweaked to better clarify that the Twilight Remix is only available on the vinyl (ugh!) version of the ACHTUNG BABY 20th Anniversary release? I spent way too much time last night scouring my 6-CD Special Deluxe Edition, thinking I was going certifiably mad because I couldn't find the track anywhere, only to finally connect the dots that it is exclusive to the vinyl release.

I added a little note to the lyric page for Night and Day. I'll have to figure out if I can do something with the by song listings to be a bit more specific. That area needs a bit of work still anyway.

(*thumbs up*) Keep up the good work!

I understand the Twilight Remix on the AB Remaster vinyl is different from Youth's Remix. Is it also different from the Twilight Remix on the Netherland 12" promo or are those two vinyl releases the same?
-
OK. I have an old mp3 here that I was told came from the Dutch 12-inch. That's the one that I had for years. I don't own a copy of the Dutch 12-Inch so I am unable to check on this one personally. That mp3 that claims it is from the Dutch 12-Inch comes from prior to 2004 so it was made before any other releases of "The Twilight Mix". That's the top one in the image.
The second one is a vinyl rip of the remastered AB release.
The third one in the picture is the mix from "The Complete U2".
-
They are all pretty similar "up front" but the last little bit of sound on the vinyl AB 12-Inch and on the Complete U2 isn't on the mp3 that I have.
So now we just need someone with the 12-inch to confirm it's the same as the mp3 I have and doesn't have the final percussive "rattle" at the end of the track that you can hear on the other two. The mp3 cuts off about five beats earlier, and doesn't have the little wrap up noise. It just fades out.

It does have a slightly modified ending. Same as the mp3 I've had from many years ago. If you count the beats out after the end of the last music there's 15 and then a little closing noise on "The Complete U2" and on "Achtung Baby" (The Vinyl Edition). The Dutch 12-Inch ends with about 10 beats instead and then fades out. Very slight difference but one none the less. Thanks y531ly5 for confirming.

Of possible interest: the post of the day over at Burning the Ground is the UK 12" promo with the Twilight Remix on Side A and the Steel String Remix on Side B

Glad to see someone has caught interest in the Night & Day promo rip. Last month I provided the vinyl for DjPaulT. Keep an eye out as I also sent him many other U2 releases that were only available on vinyl. This was the first but the rest should show up over the next couple weeks. MOFO, Discotheque, the Australian The Unforgettable Fire, Mission Impossible, and Jeep Grrlz to come soon. I've got a second batch with Lemon and others to send out but am still missing a couple 12" to donate to the cause. If someone has a 3D Dance Mixes or a Three in NM or better quality that they would like to donate please say so. Those are two I didn't get for him but would like to see ripped.

i'm not crazy enough to send my numbered Three to someone I don't even know... :P

I don't blame you. :)

Yeah, it'd be a donation because thats how DjPaulT works. I wouldn't send a numbered "Three" either but then I don't have one. One of the later pressings can be had for $30-40 though and would have the same music. I think its only the "Stories for Boys' track on that one that we don't have in digital form anywhere. There are two good tracks on 3D Dance Mixes we don't have either.

Yeah, I'd love to see 3D dance mixes. DjPaulT is legit. I'm pretty stoked about that impressive list of vinyl you sent him. Wow! We are in your debt.
