Hey folks, I live in Nashville and was able to pick up a few extra copies of the limited Blackout 12" yesterday at the Third Man Records store. I'd rather they go to proper U2 collectors than just flip them to the highest bidder on eBay, so if you're interested let me know, I'd especially be interested in trading for other rare U2 stuff that I don't currently have. Let me know if you're interested.

Concerning the Record Store Day 12-Inch Vinyl of The Blackout . . . . . as of this moment, I don't yet see audio of The Blackout [Jacknife Lee Remix] on YouTube. If it gets posted at some point over the next 2 weeks . . . . . . I will get a chance to hear it before buying that Japan release of Songs Of Experience.

I picked up 2 copies of the standard "black" vinyl / sleeve, let me know if you want to swap, then we both have one of each

Yeah, I've got the all-black one. Seems to be plenty of those.
-
Does it include a digital download?

None of the Blackout 12"s (Ltd or otherwise) came with digital download codes, though I can provide you with very well captured MP3 or FLAC versions of the files that sound amazing. It's a shame, the Jacknife Lee remix is great.

Thanks for the answer! I didn't think so but wanted to be sure. I wanted to know if there was any point in opening the RSD copy that I have (I have no record player). I did get a rip from another source - but thanks for the offer! Can't say I care much for the remix, however. I'll listen to it some more and maybe it'll grow on me. Thank again!

Don't forget you can also get a CD version of the Jacknife Lee mix on the Japan deluxe version of SOE.

I've been watching the discussion on the Japanese CD. I'm tempted. Thanks for the suggestion!
