Title: REQUEST: U22 final voting tally.
Post by: Aaron on June 27, 2012, 12:13:06 PM
Hi All --

In mid December u2.com was still in the midst of allowing voting on u22.  At that point they made the vote secret, but up until then you could see the results and see what tracks were ahead and what tracks were behind.

Just wondering if anyone made a list of what the order of the tracks was in mid-Dec before the ability to view the list went away?  Specifically looking for information on how the bottom 24 tracks placed.  If you have a list, or know some place online that has one I'd appreciate it.  Just working on the discography entry for U22 and want to include as much information as possible.

@U2 had a list of peoples "favorite tracks" - this isn't what I'm looking for.  Looking for the actual voting placement of the CD as close to when viewing ended as possible.

Many thanks.

Aaron

Interesting to see that order was also the final order when voting went on for how much longer after this point? Also interesting that Unknown Caller was given as the bonus when it was halfway down the not-making-it list. Not that I'm complaining, I enjoy the track. But one would've expected a song that just missed out to be offered as a bonus.

Bad was at the top? Wouldn't have expected that, neat.

yeah and it stayed there through to the final voting.  Adam alludes to that in the booklet.

the list above was about a week before the list went 'silent'.  in that week "NLOTH" and "Mysterious Ways" traded places a number of times, and Crazy got a little bit of a jump up, but i haven't found a list that was captured on the last day you could view.

it went silent in mid December, but voting continued into January.  But the final tracks very closely matched what we saw here, so i expect little change overall.

It's nice knowing what "almost made it"...

::: I finally received my U22 and it's amazing!  8)

I fell kind of disappointed because NLOTH was left off the final cut. I really like that song, like many of you.
Despite all, I'm sure that U2.com redeem themselves. This is a great sub gift. I can barely remember which
songs are in the 'Duets' album.   ;D

I am saddened that there was no inclusion of "Rain". But royalties etc.
