Title: Sunday Bloody Sunday (Live) from 'Bloody Sunday' film
Post by: u2expert on March 05, 2008, 09:48:09 PM
I just got a copy of the film 'Bloody Sunday' the ending credits have a live version of Sunday Bloody Sunday, I think its June 27th 1987 at Croke Park, Dublin, Ireland anyone agree?

Beginning of song: 'This is a song... a song I hope one day never have to sing again'

Middle of song: 'How are ya... you heard about Amnesty International? They've heard of you... and they know... they know all about you. Sing this... for Belfast, for Derry, for Beirut, for Nicaragua... after me sing. No more...'

Cheers,

Yep. They are the same.

Thanks to Scarlet for the dvd rip and Batfink for the 2 lossless versions of the Croke Park show.  ;)

Now, what does Bono say right after his "Thank You" just before the reprise? About 5:37 in the dvd version--

I love this version.  I passed the ac3 file around on some of the fan boards....ok actually it was one fan board, which I'm not going to mention.
