I signed up for their Concert Vault Free Trial and I bought this U2 concert download.  As I write this, I have just started the concert (in my iTunes library).  Let's see how this sounds.  I had to go to their HELP screen to figure out where on my computer the download was placed by their Download Manager.  It was explained well.  I like that the individual iTunes screen for each track has the photo as "Artwork" . . . . Bono wearing that white dress shirt, holding a microphone, and the spray-painted cement in the background.

So far, Where the streets have no name sounds pretty good.  I went through all 25 pages of other concert downloads on this wolfgangsvault.com website.  As you probably know by now, this Boston Garden/Sep. 18/1987 U2 concert is the only U2 concert download available.  I'm disappointed in that.  :(

But in all 25 pages of concert downloads, I could only find a few other artists that I will consider buying and downloading:
David Crosby
Fleetwood Mac
Pink Floyd

Not very impressed with that list of other downloads.   :(

Ooops, a little audio problem with I will follow from :43 to :47, but it seems to be just that small portion.  I like the clear drum sound from 2:49 to 2:59 . . . . . very unique sound . . . . . one I've never heard in a concert recording.

Trip through your wires has started and it sounds great!   ;D

slaneman . . . . . thanks very much for providing the link.

I can hear the bass guitar at the beginning of Bullet the blue sky and that's new for me.

I was not able to find out any info about how long the Free Trial lasts.  My Free Trial confirmation email doesn't say anything about it and I could not find any info about it on the website.

Did anyone else figure this out yet?

Wow, I'm really loving the bass guitar on Bullet the blue sky from 3:30 to the end of the track.   ;D

I figured out that Concert Vault Free Trial is 14 days.  Having said that, I didn't find any of the David Crosby, Fleetwood Mac, or Pink Floyd concert downloads worth acquiring.   :P

Correction:  At wolfgangsvault.com Concert Vault, I just bought a $5 Pink Floyd concert download of their Set 2 performance in East Rutherford, NJ on Oct. 11, 1987.  My main reason was to get a live version of welcome to the machine      ;D

I'm just listening to this now and loving it.  It's surprisingly rough for a show on the 3rd leg of the JT tour. Larry's timing is way off at certain points on Streets, there's a major meltdown/guitar malfunction during ISHFWILF, etc. I'm not complaining, though. It's fun to hear these songs with all of the rough edges and the feeling that things could fly off the rails at any moment.

I made some cover art for the Boston Garden show from Wolfgang's Vault as well. I used (a better quality version of) the photo that was embedded in the MP3's but, um, that's clearly a shot from the San Francisco "Save the Yuppies" gig, right?

Brad, thanks for doing that cover art.  I deleted the cover art that came with the downloads and then added the new one you made.  It's the first time I've ever done this so it was learning experience.  It appears to have worked correctly.

Glad you liked it enough to put it in your library. Still bothers me that the picture isn't actually from Boston Garden, or at least I don't think it is.

You're right, it's from the Herman Plaza show--

I also wondered why WV used that picture for a Boston gig but maybe they own the rights to that particular shot and they couldn't think of anything better?

Here's a snatch of the lyrics for Pride when he did the spray painting...

"Yeah
Rock’n’roll stops the traffic

Oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh

Not bad, hey?
I had a lot of practice when I was a kid
Thank you, thank your city
Thank you, Bill Graham
Thanks the cops"

I don't think Bono was thanking the cops later. Didn't he end up paying a pretty big fine?
