Title: Fast Cars vs. Xanax & Wine
Post by: Z000 on February 27, 2011, 08:25:34 PM
Which do you prefer: Fast Cars, Fast Cars (Jacknife Lee Mix), or Xanax and Wine?

I have to go with X&W myself. I liked the hard rock sound of it, wished it had been on HTDAAB. Fast Cars felt a little overproduced and watered down by comparison. The Jacknife Lee mix is a little better, a bigger diversion from X&W, though I'd compare it to the original not like a remix, but more the way you might compare The Hands That Built America between the soundtrack and the best-of album.

::: Great topic.

Once, I put real loud X&W and my kid (6 years old) said it was a 'very cool song!). Then I decided to make the full experiment.

No doubt about it. He liked more the 'Jacknife Lee Mix'   ???

I warned him that listening to U2 could make him a fan: now he's one of us. I'm proud of him. I recorded 11 custom cds to listen at the car when we're driving school and getting back home. Only remixes.When He gets 12 I'm trying the single versions   ::)
