My old transcription:
Check it out, slip it in your pocket
rivergoat's old one:
'Shake it off'/'Shake your all' and you spin it at the heartbeat
My revision:
Shake it out, and you're slipping in the heartbeat
rivergoat new:
Shake your/it all and you (spin it/me) (spinning) at the heartbeat

I've settled on "Shake it out, and you slip it in your pocket"
The best place to isolate this is at the end of the Escalation mix for any of those interested.
-
...i thought It was:
"Shake it out, and sticking'em hot..."
???
wait, I'm not english native speaker, something's must be wrong then...
-
To be honest I doubt native english speakers will ever agree on this one. :)
The best one can do is take other hearings and refine what they think are the chances each is accurate. May be "Shake it off, and you slip it in your pocket" which makes a bit more sense, though perhaps not in the context of the song.

this is what happens when you're off from college and bored in the summer. you listen to music and after a few years of not knowing what to sing at a certain part, it just GETS to you. so here i come trying to figure it out...and low and behold you're (or were) discussing it..
I always heard "shake it up and split me apart" or "shake it off and split me apart" years ago i thought "shake it up it still be pop" but i think i've abandoned that
anyway. have a good one.

Heh yeah this thing bugged the crap out of me. I'd really recommend listening to the end of the escalation mix as it's a bit higher up in the mix and repeats.
I'll give it another listen when I get the chance. Which might be a while. :)
