Thanks go to Slaneman for the original transcription.  I made a few minor changes (some of them were in areas with ?'s or alternatives.  I changed the italic/bolding to match summer wine/stars go blue and knockin to knocking (since that is the song title).

Off a tree-lined avenue, in a college made of stone (college could be cottage).

One area I'm not so sure about:

Dreams …won’t… leave… you…
Home…
Home…

Could possibly be (or a combination of):

Dreams …won’t… lead… you…
Home…
Hope…

Thanks for your corrections. I was hoping you would clear up the iffy spots.

Hearing the "maps" and "charts" makes me lean even harder for "lead you home". And "home" again for the last 2 lines.

I still hear "cottage". It seems to make more sense. :)

I listened to it with my good headphones and still hear college.

I hear "college" now through my new Sennheisers :) Sorry for the flip-flop.

"leave" or "lead" ? I could go either way.
