Title: B.B. King's performances for Lovetown
Post by: hmtmkmkm on October 18, 2008, 09:54:24 AM
Hey all

Got a few questions about B.B. King and the Lovetown Tour. Just wanted to know if anyone could tell me which songs he performed in when the band toured. I know he's included on When Love Comes To Town and Love Rescue Me. I know he sings on both and plays on at least one of them. But did he also perform or sing in Angel Of Harlem at the shows he attended? And how many did B.B. King play at?

Is there a way I can find all this out?

Thanks,
Joe

Only BB's orchestra played with U2 for Angel of Harlem. They'd come out for the encore. Then BB joined the band for the other 2 songs. So BB never sang on Angel.

They did all 3 songs 46 out of the 47 shows on Lovetown. One time the band had to cut the show short because of Bono's voice problems. I knew all this off the top of my head. (lol)

Awesome!

Thanks heaps for that. I've wondered for so long. I knew that he couldn't possibly be singing on Angel Of Harlem but I wondered if he played at all. That's cleared up a problem that's been bugging me so much it made me itch.

Thanks again,
Joe
