Since this jumped Rattle and Hum in the release schedule, I'm wondering if a bigger set is in store for R&H later on? Either way I'm kind of bummed that we've now reached the point where "anniversary edition" = "standard vinyl reissue" rather than something more celebratory with bonus tracks, outtakes, etc. on CD.

Will this be remastered or “tweaked” at all?

My contact at Universal said no. But he said the same thing about All That You Can't Leave Behind, and that album actually was. I've asked him to confirm.
-
This has some variation from the original, extra tracks and sort of HTF but I think I am still going to pass on this. Good effort but I'm still going to pass or see how I feel about this in three months.

Nice to get actual confirmation of a remaster. Looking forward to this.
Now here's hoping Rattle & Hum gets placed back on the schedule for late spring or summer.

What does HTF stand for?

Hard to find I'm guessing. The original vinyl has become very difficult to find. It's priced at $200 when it does pop up. This should make it much more available. The black vinyl will be kept in print. The clear vinyl will be limited and once its sold and gone it will be gone.

HTF: hard to find.
DTF: difficult to find.

So if you say that something is DTF, should I bother asking WTF (where to find)?
Incidentally, I've been DTF around my neighbourhood for the past month. Things have been a bit hectic.

You can find everything on discogs.

No one here will be fooled, but here's a U2 Facebook post about this release that says: ‘The future needs a big kiss…’ Remastered, with new remixes and on double vinyl. The tenth anniversary of No Line On The Horizon arrives next month. Pre-order today.'
There are not "new remixes" on this. Just a couple from the vaults.

I don't think there was any malice here. Just a lack of understanding of the past. A quick email to Aaron would have set them straight.

I've seen this on sale at Amazon ($49!!!), as well as the U2.com store and Pledge Music. Do we know if it's going to be available in stores?

I think they mean "Remastered, with new remixes that weren't on the original pressing, and on double vinyl" instead of "Remastered, with newly created remixes, and on double vinyl". But yes, they aren't new.
Word is the album is being delayed already. Universal in Canada has moved the clear one ahead to February 15. Universal in the UK has moved the clear one back to March 29, but hasn't moved the black one, and retailers in Germany are listing both versions as March 29. U2.com is still listing February 22 for both, but they are usually slow to update.
In Germany although it is being listed at a variety of shops already with the March 29 date, also being told that the only place to get it will be through Universal in that country. Not sure about elsewhere, but shops like Bullmoose in the USA are showing listings for both, so it should get out to local shops. This early on hard to say for sure though, by the end of next week we should have some clarity on the dates and where it will show up...
-
I preordered the clear vinyl from Amazon USA. So far the date is still listed as February 22. No listing for the black vinyl as of yet.
Price on Amazon has dropped to $44 now, and hopefully will go lower by release date.
-
Oh wait, the black vinyl is listed now, also with a February 22 release date. Price is $36.09.

So just to clarify, at the current Amazon prices, the total for both including tax is $86.64. (I have free Prime shipping.)
The total for both from U2.com, including tax and the cheapest shipping option is $88.89.

Are you planning on mixing and matching your sets?

Probably won't even open the clear vinyl, TBH.
