| Another compilation of U2 cover songs. This one does something
a little different and tacks on an original song at the end of the compilation
by one of the artists on the compilation. This compilation takes U2 songs
and covers them in an "ethereal" trancy type style. It's pretty mellow
and laid back versions of U2's songs, but I was bored with it after hearing
the soundclips posted at various online shops, and chose not to listen
to the whole thing. All of the vocalists on the tracks are female
in keeping with the "ethereal" style. Don't be fooled thinking you'll
find a cover of U2's Peace on Earth on this disc either - it's another
original song and has little in common with U2's song other than the name.
A disappointing collection from Vitamin records (from what I heard) which
produced the excellent Strung out on U2 and Pickin' on U2 tribute albums. |
