| OTHER NOTES |
| Mother Records was created by U2 in the mid-80's to give
local Irish bands a chance to get some publicity and to get one single
released. Cactus World News had formed in late 1984, and had managed
to get a demo version of "The Bridge" on Irish radio. Bono apparantly
heard this and offered the band a chance to release the song through their
new label.
This EP was recorded in Windmill studios between January and July of
1985, and Bono acted as a producer for the songs. This was the second
release on Mother records. |

| The 12" was released with two different picture sleeves.
The first is black with red printing, and the front has some embossed graphic
designs of the Mother Records logo. The back has lyrics and photos
pertaining to the release, and the label of the vinyl does not mention
Island Records. The second version is a plain black sleeve with rounded
corners, and the label on the vinyl does include mention of Island. |
