OTHER NOTES
What is expected to be the final promotional single for the
album How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb. When All
Because of You was released in the UK, Australia and other areas of the
world there was no corresponding promotional release for North America.
It seems that U2 held off on that, to release Original of the Species to
radio here in North America at the same time that the song was being used
to promote U2's video store and the Live in Chicago DVD.
In early 2006, a UK version of the promotional single started appearing.
This CD came in a card sleeve, not a jewel case like most UK promotional
singles. It again just contained the single version of the song.
A sticker on the back of the UK promo single from Anglo Plugging touts
a release of the song due to happen "online" on February 20th. No
word on a commercial single to be available in stores at this time.
Plans to release a commercial single in Canada with the bsides found on
the European All Because of You single have
never materialized.
