OTHER NOTES |
Electrical Storm is the first release from the Best
of 1990 - 2000 compilation. The first version of the promo arrived
the week of August 29, 2002, from Interscope in the US. It featured a plain
white insert in the back of the CD case and no cover artwork. A week later
the EU version appeared with the cover above. In the second week of October
a US version appeared with artwork.
There has been some confusion over whether or not it is the same mix
of the Orbit Edit on all CDs. The European version runs 4:29 and the US
version runs 4:25 - this is easily explained when one looks at the wave
form. Both the US and UK promo CDs have the same mix otherwise.
The "Band Version" has also been a source of confusion as fans looked
for a name for the mix to differentiate it from the other mix on the promo
CD. It finally gained a name with the release of the Best
of 1990 - 2000 Sampler Promo. |

This CD was released in the second week of October, 2002.
It has been theorized that this was the original release planned for US
radio but due to the leak on the internet of the track, the 5" CDR was
rushed into production to meet radio demand, and this promo version was
put on the back burner until October of that year. |

Further Information: |
This item closely resembles the promo produced in the UK
except for two major differences, that being the card sleeve being used
for packaging rather than the slimline jewel case and the different Matrix
on the disc which shows this is an actual Spain pressing. Spain would
also receive a separate pressing of the promo for "The Hands that Built
America". |

When mp3s of the song appeared on the internet after being
played on the BBC, Interscope rushed up plans to release a promotional
single to radio. This promo appeared on August 29, 2002 and was a
plain looking CDR with no front insert, just a plain back insert announcing
the tracks and the release date of the album. |
