| Commercially, Numb was only released
as a video single. There were, however, several promotional releases of
the single for radio etc., to promote this first single off of the Zooropa
album. These included a remix by Paul Oakenfold of the Numb track which
appeared only on this promotional single and is very difficult to track
down.
One of the promotional recordings was a 12" Vinyl which was marked only
"Numb (Produced by Fee Dognoodle)" with no mention of U2 on the label.
This was sent out to radio stations in advance of the release of other
promos to see how much play the single would get if it wasn't recognized
as a U2 track. This version of the track appears to be the 4:18 album mix
of the track. No deviation from the album track can be found upon listening
to it. |
