OTHER NOTES |
Warner Brothers originally approached Bono about the possibility
of including a MacPhisto like character in the Batman Forever script, and
had asked him to consider appearing in the film. Apparantly the creators
working on the movie had caught an appearance of Bono in MacPhisto character
and were fascinated with the character, and felt they could make him fit
within the movie.
Bono eventually declined the offer, and instead offered to contribute
a song to the soundtrack. The song, "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me,
Kill Me" had originally been left unfinished from the Zooropa
album.
U2 finished the recording of the song and contributed it to the soundtrack.
It was released as a single, with several promotional
offerings, as well as a gorgeous animated video.
Also on the soundtrack is Bono's good friend, Gavin Friday, singing
backup n the Hutchence track, "The Passenger", and PJ Harvey who is also
managed by Paul McGuinness and who has toured with U2 on both the Zoo TV
tour and the Elevation tour. |
