Pearl Jam has long made offical bootlegs of their concerts
available to fans. The 2005 tour was no different, and hours after
a show, the entire concert would be available for download from the Pearl
Jam Website for a fee. In most cases this is $9.99US for an entire
concert.
On September 17th, 2005 Eddie Vedder, lead vocalist with Pearl Jam,
joined U2 on stage at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto Ontario, where U2
was kicking off the third leg of the Vertigo tour. He joined U2 and
Daniel Lanois on a performance of the song "Ol' Man River". A few
days later, on September 19th, Bono returned the favour when Pearl Jam
played the Air Canada Centre. He joined the band on stage for a version
of "Rockin' in the Free World" while The Edge and Larry looked on from
the sidelines.
Early in the show, Vedder performs snippets of U2 songs knowing that
U2 was in attendance at the show. Bono only appeared on vocals for
"Rockin' in the Free World" but during the show itself Vedder dropped in
bits from "A Sort of Homecoming" before his performance of "Small Town";
"Bad" before his performance of "Habit"; sang the "if i could you know
i would" from "Bad" towards the end of "Daughter" and sang a bit of "Yahweh"
during "Daughter" as well. |
