U2 contributed to Robbie Robertson's 1987
solo
album. The entire band as well as Daniel Lanois contributed to two
tracks which were recorded in Ireland during the Joshua Tree recording
sessions. This single features one of these tracks remixed. The remix
was only available on the French version of the single, and isn't featured
on other releases. |

Testimony was originally released on Robbie Robertson's self-titled
solo
album, which also featured "Sweet Fire of Love" which was also recorded
with U2.

Roberstson served as executive producer on the 2002 film,
Gangs
of New York which featured "The Hands that Built America" by U2 on
the soundtrack.

Bono co-wrote "Jah Love" for the Neville Brothers from the
Brother's
Keeper album, of whom, Ivan Neville appears on "Testimony" on this
release.

Daniel Lanois appears on both of these songs and has worked exclusively
as a musical partner and a producer for U2 on such albums as:

Unforgettable Fire, The Joshua Tree, Achtung
Baby, All That You Can't Leave Behind, and
The
Million Dollar Hotel
Soundtrack. He also worked with Larry Mullen
on Emmylou Harris's album Wrecking Ball.

The track "Sweet Fire of Love" by Robertson and U2 was also featured on
the soundtrack of the film "Pow Wow Highway".
